DINKY TOYS No. 277 SUPERIOR CRITERION AMBULANCE IN ORIGINAL BOX

This version has the battery powered flashing light and (according to the box) is mounted on a Pontiac chassis. Dinky made another similar American ambulance (No. 267) which was on a Cadillac chassis.

In very good condition, with some evidence of light restoration. The main “green tinted”rear side windows and “AMBULANCE” decals have been replaced.

I couldn’t get the light to work even though the bulb is good. The battery holder is a fragile plastic and already has a crack so I didn’t want to tempt fate and end up break ing it. The base is removable by undoing a screw (so you can replace the battery and bulb) it’s quite an easy job. The only other advisory is a hairline crack in the windshield corner that is near invisible in most lighting angles.

The original yellow and red picture box is in very good condition and intact with nice bright colours. No inside packing piece.
