One of my probably smallest needle cases I've ever seen. Only 1 inch long, has a ring on the side so you don't lose the lid from the bottom. I think it was probably once in a travel case in it or from a Doll House . . Dates back to the 19th century and these miniatures are rare to find. Safe  this rare specimen for your collection.
