Selling a 1980 mercedes 450 sl. Paper in hand, runs and drives albeit it would be best to do a tune up as it hasnt run almost in a year. Selling my father's car (death)and I'm describing it to the best of my knowledge and his friends. Car has only 100 000 miles on it (it is 162 000 km) with a Nardi special steering(wood style). car was his for about 15 years and it ran only on Sundays (reasons of low mileage).
Mechanic: I know a galiper, brakes and a fuel pump are recent. Other then that it is a 44 years old car so selling as is. Motor sounds nice (mechanic told me so), 1 crack in top of windshield but you can drive like that has it is nowhere near vision (has been that way a while)
Hard top is brown like the inside.
Solid no rust except 1 spot on top and one spot on lower rear fender that I can see. Car was kept in a temp controlled garage in winter. car is quite clean and solid. doors opens nicely with no loose in it which I'm told is rare and a sign of a good body. This is a nice head turner but not a showroom car. IT is a great deal at 12500$ cad,I know but I have nowhere to put it. Either drive it like that or put some money into it to make it worth so much more. Price is firm. car runs and drives is nice looking and solid but not new. No warranty sellgin as-is.
I am located in Granby, QC which is near US border (40 minutes) so if an American wishes to buy it it should be quite easy and I have the registration in hand. Car runs and drive so no problem to load on a trailer.
