Twelve traditional 2” Worry Doll belt handmade from Guatemala. Purchased in the 1990s. Worry dolls are created from wire, wool and colorful leftover textiles.

Worry dolls are given to the brooding, anxious and sorrowful. Tell your doll your troubles then hide it under your pillow before going to sleep at night. It is said that that you relinquish your worries to the dolls during the night and by next morning all sorrows have been taken away by the worry doll allowing them to move forward refreshed.
