This is a stunning and unusual Native American cuff bracelet by the Navajo silversmith Albert Jake (born 1959). It features a single row of alternating red coral and spiny oyster cabochons. There are eleven cabochons all together.

Stamped on the inside: “Sterling” and “A. Jake”. The bracelet weighs 23.7 grams, and is a quarter of an inch wide. Interior circumference is 6.25” including gap (gap is 1.25”). It is in excellent condition; the stones are tight in their bezels. Minimal wear.

For comparison, see the bracelet by Jake that sold at the Santa Fe Art Auction on February 8th, lot 316. It also had coral and spiny oyster, but instead of alternating cabochons, there were two rows entirely of spiny oyster and one row entirely of red coral. Each row had eleven cabochons. That triple-row piece sold for $2000 including buyer’s premium.
