Up for auction is this exquisite Crown Devon cube tea pot made for Cunard. The tea pot is a little over 3-1/2 X 3-3/4 X 3-3/4 inches. This appealed to me for its art deco-like appearance and its cubic form. Very functional form, I think, for use on an ocean-going vessel with minimal storage space! This has an unusual appearance and from the research I conducted, Crown Devon was one of a number of manufacturers supplying Cunard with these tea sets during the time of the Queen Mary steamship. These China ones were used in First Class so they have a luxury feel.

The tea pot has a little surface-crazing and there is a small chip on the inside rim of the lid. The gold painting on the rim and tea pot top has some wear in places. The tea pot has "Cunard Crown Devon Fieldings Made in England" on the bottom.

It is a lovely collectible for anyone interested in vintage cruise ships. I welcome any questions. Thank for looking
