Antique Ridgway Bulrush Jug Relief Moulded Brown Drabware, England 1848

Wonderful early Victorian era stoneware jug with all over moulded relief of bulrush decorations to body extending to handle, diamond mark underneath indicating year of manufacture as 1848, made in England by E. J. Ridgway & Abington.

Unique opportunity to own an interesting and rare example of antique English stoneware moulded jug by the Ridgway factory. Similar examples displayed in the 'The Ridgway pattern book' website.

In antique condition, no obvious repairs, a few cracks, one crack to the spout, cracks underneath, and one on the lower part running up from the base, one small chip to base, expected surface blemishes, please refer to detailed photos provided.

Approximately 19.5cm tall, maximum body diameter 14cm, and weighs 600g.
