DESCRIPTION:

Men’s Omega Seamaster Solid 9ct Gold Watch - cal 552 in excellent Working Order and stunning condition keeping excellent time dating to approximately 1969. Made in the golden era of watchmaking. The watch winds and sets with no issues and ticks away beautifully. This really is a classic watch and makes a statement.

The watch is automatic meaning that you do not need to wind it as it will work from the movement of your wrist when wearing it. The rotor turns smoothly and powers the watch as it should do with no issues.

The Case

The beautifully designed, good sized (34mm diameter), solid quality gold case is in very good condition with just general signs of wear expected for a vintage watch - please also refer to photos for condition. Wears large on the wrist. The case is hallmarked on the inside of the watch case cover for 9ct gold London approximately 1969. It is also fully signed Omega Watch Company. The case is a UK made Shackmans solid 9K gold example. Shackmans made cases for Imported Rolex, Omega and other prestige watch companies.

The Dial

The dial is stunning condition as can be clearly seen in the photos. Gorgeous understated dial arrangement really makes a statement. Classic applied gold Omega logo and ‘Omega’ signature and ‘Automatic’ at the 12 o’clock position. Signed ‘Geneve’ and ‘Swiss Made’ at the bottom. Raised, applied gold and black baton hour markers with golden hour, minute black infilled hands and golden sweep seconds hand which are also in excellent condition.

The Movement

The 24 Jewel Omega signed movement is the quality iconic 552 calibre and is in excellent clean condition keeping excellent time as would be expected for a high end quality watch. The calibre 552 is one of the best and highly regarded automatic movements created by Omega.

The watch is fitted with a new Italian luxury padded calf stitched leather dark brown strap with gold plated buckle which really looks the part and compliments the Omega style perfectly.

The Crown

The watch has its original Omega crown fitted with raised Omega logo . It’s in good condition with logo being nice and crisp

The approximate diameter is 34mm not including the crown which is very contemporary with today’s larger watches market. Lug width is 18mms.

This watch is a beautiful example of Omega’s classic high quality cal 552 Model in Solid Gold. This is a watch that will only increase in value as these gems become increasingly rare over time.
