Corgi 929 Superman Daily Planet Jetcopter Diecast Model & Repaired Original Box

Near mint Bell Jetranger 206B helicopter in red and white with “DAILY PLANET” decals from the 1st Superman film (and features in a scene where Superman saves Louis Lane - again after some dubious flying/landing pad maintenance atop the Daily Planet building). The red and white paint is mint, the chrome strip between them is still shiny and the white plastic parts are all intact and still snow-white. Amber glass is all intact.

This has a full set of orange plastic rockets with all but 2 still on the sprue. While the actual Daily Planet helicopter didn’t have the rocket firing option ticked on the spec sheet, Corgi used the same casting from the Drax/Stromberg helicopters from the Bond films. The two loose rockets are loaded for safekeeping and fire as they should.

The helicopter is held to an original card plinth (although it’s marked 930, which is the Drax helicopter model) with an elastic band. The original striped window box has been repaired as it was basically ripped open at the seam and missing the transparent plastic sheet. I’ve used paper glue to repair the tears to the internal plinth holder, fitted a new piece of transparent plastic using a glue gun and then glued the outer box together along the seam where the words “Rocketfiring, Raketenwerfer, Rampe lance-fusées.” are printed.

A sealed version of the same model in 1:64 Corgi Juniors size is also listed.
