Corgi 416 Buick Century Police Car & Figure Near Mint In Original Box

Metallic blue with lovely shiny chrome and excellent POLICE stickers. There are a couple of paint chips on the wheel arches and one on the driver’s ‘A’ pillar. All the roof sirens and lights are intact and still shiny. Doors open revealing a pristine white interior with black steering wheel. Wheels and black plastic base are mint. The painted plastic policeman with bullhorn/loudhailer is intact on his plinth and plastic holder.

The striped window box is solid with intact plastic window. All flaps are attached although there is a tear on one. There’s an old green price sticker for $6.50 from Don’s Hobbies & Toys. The card inner plinth is in very good condition with some creases around the cut-out for the police car’s roof lights.

Basically, the model is the earlier 290 Kojak’s Regal with fresh paint. The front grille has “Regal” moulded into it, the metal casting has “Regal” on the rear wings and “R” on the boot badge and the base says Buick Regal.

Thanks to https://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2021/03/the-corgi-kojak-buick-baby.html for helping clear up why the model is actually a Buick Regal when the box says Century

Kojak drives a brown, 1974 Buick Century 455 V8, (reg. plate: 383 JDZ and designated Car 723K) sometimes sporting white striped tires. The Century was technically the progenitor of the Buick Regal, which frequently shared the same body and power train as the Century.
