2026 marks 250 years since the founding of the United States of America in 1776. Three years prior in 1773, we threw a big tea party in Boston harbor in protest of taxation without representation. The British retaliated in 1774 with punitive laws. The colonists responded with further acts of protest. By 1775, the American Revolutionary War was officially on. Raise a cup in celebration this Fourth of July.
