Scarce 2 tones 1940's Mettoy Great Britain tin MG Cabriolet Roaster wind up (working clockwork motor driven). Almost similar to the red one (see photo, not on sale) but no Mettoy inscription mark on the car like this red one and the green on last 2 photos.. 8 inches long. 1940s period. Excellent condition but only steering wheel missing.

Lots of MGs were shipped to North America. So it seems that any sporty toy car is a MG. The person that wrote the other ads assumed MG. Other than being right hand drive it has little in common with any MG car. (Front hinged doors were very rare on MG cars. None in the 40's.) I am sure it looks like one of the 100 or so manufactures of cars in the UK at the time. If you could find one that produced a car that looked close to the one your selling your odds of a buyer interested in purchasing your car would increase several fold

Please ask before bidding. Shipping costs could vary with location, especially overseas. So, please wait for invoice. Fast shipping on Tuesday and Friday. Good luck.
