This antique Chinese trunk from the early 1900s is a beautiful piece of woodenware covered in leather. As you can see, item is older than the export stamp.

Very primitive in design.

Hinges, nails and lock age it late 1800’s, early 1900’s.

Leather patch to front and sides, sewn into leather work surrounding.

No handles so definitely a trunk, shipping chest.

Has been legally exported from China after 1997 due to the wax seal stamp on the top. Should say customs permission B01
