Description

This is a great lot of vintage Barbie Doll. Clearly she is a restoration piece, as someone tried to glue her head back on, but she has the original (albeit faint) Japan stamp on her foot, her black and white striped bathing suit, and several other authentic pieces of clothing with the Barbie tags inside. I'll even ship along a few extras that I forgot to photograph, mostly accessories. I'm sure in the right hands she will be treasured. Sure to please any collector!

Payment Terms

Buyers will receive an invoice within 24 hours. Payment must be made within 4 days of end of auction. eBay automatically opens an unpaid item case at that point (it's not personal folks, it's automated). Buy it Now items must be paid for at the time of commitment to purchase. Thank you!

I will do my best to treat all buyers in the same way I would like to be treated. If there are any issues with your order please contact me right away, so that we may work together to resolve any issues. Verbal abuse, or mean-spirited, manipulative behavior will be reported, and you will be blocked. I'm not Amazon or Jeff Bezos, as much as I wish I was (OK, I just wish I had his money), I don't have a million people checking my email, or running my packages. Your purchase and questions are important to me, and I will prioritize them, but please remember that I'm a person, with a family and this is not my full-time job. Just like I will remember that you care about your purchase, your money, and your time, and I will treat you and your purchase, with kindness and respect. 

Returns

All items are sold as final sales. I do my best to accurately describe every item and any significant flaws will be mentioned in the description. Of course it is possible to overlook something minor. If something hasn't been noted, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to resolve the issue.

 

Please keep in mind that vintage and second-hand items are not new, and as such are rarely in perfect condition. Unless otherwise stated, all items have been used and show some degree of wear. Small imperfections are inherent in vintage and secondhand items and add character to the pieces.

Shipping

All items will be shipped with insurance. USPS, FedEx Ground and FedEx home are generally my preferences. If you have limitations on being able to receive an item (such as you will be out of town) please let me know. I go to the post office once or twice weekly and depending on when your payment is made, I may be 2-3 business days from shipping. Please be sure your shipping address is accurate at the time of purchase, changing it after the fact is complicated, and I cannot ship to address that isn't in the original order, as it goes against eBays shipping policies.

Global Shipping

Most items can ship via eBay's Global Shipping program, unless it is very fragile or oversized. Please know that I have zero control over Global Shipping rates. Global Shipping can be expensive. And I do not generally ship to other countries directly, but you are welcome to message me. 

Combined Shipping

I am happy to combine shipping. Do be aware that that doesn't mean 2 for 1 shipping, but I am happy to reduce your shipping costs.

Lost/Damaged/Stolen Items

Items are rarely lost, stolen, or damaged in the post, but it does happen. I package items with lots of shipping materials and quality boxes and bubble mailers. I often re-use packaging as well. In the event that an item is damaged, I will file a claim, and likely need your assistance with images of damage. Do NOT immediately return an item, it will void the  insurance. Lost items that disappear while tracking are very rare, however, porch pirates are real. Please be sure there is a safe place for your packages to be delivered, as once an item is marked as delivered eBay and the shipping service wash their hands of the issue, and I cannot be liable.

Altering items

Please understand that I cannot alter items. Once an item is posted I cannot change the item in any way. For example: leave items out, remove items, take things apart or disassemble them, etc. 

Negotiating After Sales

While I am happy to combine shipping, I do not negotiate on pricing including shipping after the fact. I do flat rate shipping instead of calculated to account for handling and supplies, which include: bubble wrap, packing paper, bubble mailers, boxes, tape, labels, fuel. My shipping prices are clearly stated in ALL Buy It Now and Auction items, and are not up for debate after an item has ended. Often the quoted cost of shipping covers an item, but sometimes the cost merely offsets the cost of shipping. 

Partial Refunds

Generally speaking, if an item is good enough to keep, it's good enough to pay for. I do NOT issue partial refunds. You will need to return it, in the condition it was shipped in.

Failure to Pay

In the event that buyer fails to pay for an item, an unpaid item case is automatically opened by eBay on the 4th day. This is not personal, it is automated. Keep in mind that repeated unpaid items may keep the buyer from being able to bid for items on eBay. Also buyers failing to pay will be blocked from my shop for future purposes.

Timing

I try to respond promptly to all inquiries, but I don't live online. If you ask questions within 5 minutes of an auction ending, I am unlikely to be able to respond quickly enough. Generally I respond the same day as an inquiry though, sometimes the next day depending on when you messaged. 

Feedback

I do my best to leave feedback regularly. Generally I do all of my feedback at once a couple of times per month. Please don't send me e-mails demanding positive feedback. I respect trying to develop a positive reputation, and promise that I will leave feedback as quickly as possible. 

A Note on Vintage and Second-Hand Items

Please note, if you enjoy vintage then you probably understand this. If you are buying vintage and secondhand you are likely looking for an item with style, quality, and craftsmanship, and above all history. If so, vintage is for you. If you are looking for perfection, you should likely buy brand new. 

Lots & Restoration pieces

ALL lots and restoration pieces are sold AS-IS. They are not returnable. Lots are a mixed bag, and generally a better deal, so you'll have good, some middling, some great. Unfortunately, people who purchase and return lots often times loot pieces, parts, etc. Again, "Lot" listings cannot be returned. Without exception. Know this, and big accordingly.
