For sale is a pair of Ambrose Shardlow outside-micrometers.
Ambrose Shardlow was originally a manufacturer of crankshafts.
(Thus it had experience with precise grinding equipment.)

The company began making micrometers in the early 1930's, following a UK government incentive program.
The government could already see what was happening in Germany, and knew that precision tools would be need for any future war.

One reads 0 to 1" (inch), the other 1" to 2".
Each micrometer comes in a padded slip-case.
Included is an adjusting spanner, and a 1" diameter proving ring (marked Moore and Wright).
The 1" unit moves freely.
The 1-2" unit is a little stiff (maybe just adjustment somewhere?)

The pictures tell the story.
Condition is obviously good.
A tiny bit of surface rust on one corner of the adjusting spanner.

Collection is cheapest, but these are small and can readily be posted.
The international postage is a WILD guess, because eBay is too stupid to do the calculation.
