Fabulous vintage amateur oil painting.
Canvas painting - but with what seems to be a plastic backing board. Not come across this before, but the painting is firm and flat - so that's probably it's purpose! Has a small slit to the backing - not affecting the painting which is in good condition and with no obvious damage.
Depicts a wonderful mountainous scene with a host of interesting buildings nestling around a bridge across the river in the foreground. Not sure where exactly - looks slightly like Fontainemore, Italy, maybe?
Naive in style, unglazed and framed in a very nice light brown wooden frame.
Large size - measures approx 23'' x 18.75' to the outer edge of the frame. Ready to hang.
Signed by the artist, A Cutler, 1992.
Minor wear and tear to the frame, commensurate with use. In good overall condition.
