Welcome to our auction for this absolutely fabulous Advocate camera.

The Ilford Advocate is a white-enamelled die-cast aluminium alloy 35mm camera made in the UK by Kennedy Instruments, a subsidiary of Ilford.

I believe this is the updated 1952 (series 2) version, which stopped production in 1957.

The lens is a Dallmeyer Anastigmat 35mm f/3.5 stopping down to f/22 and focusing down to 3 feet.

Point to note, we have not run any film through this camera, but everything appears to be in good working order. It’s in great condition, just a couple of really tiny flea bite losses to the enamel and some slight signs of ageing commensurate with the use and age of the camera. Comes with the original brown leather camera bag.

Please see photographs for condition, and e-mail with any questions.
