It is upholstered in the original gold damask but has a very pretty William Morris loose cover, which features butterflies and various flowers. The four finials are unadorned and are connected to the sofa by again the original gold cord which leaves a tassel dangling in the corner.

 It has been in the back office of a big Victorian house and is a bit grubby but it is all there, the arms are well secured, the finials go in and out easily to allow the arms to drop. 

It is very comfortable, the Grand kids love it as does my aged Aunt. Since it has moved out of the back room, it has been used a lot and having been asked for pictures of the original covering, I have noticed a couple of tiny snags and there is staining on the Damask but it is 120 years old, so happy to call it shabby-chic.

I'd like to move it on before the little monsters do something unforgivable to it, hence the price drop.
