You can use it on either side but the “back” is a little more rustic around the eyes; not very noticeable.

The print color does NOT reverse itself on the other side, ie, birds are still creamy white and fish still gray with a hint of brown tint.

Fringe is between 4” and 4-3/8”. The corner fringe seems to be unraveling but truly not. Check closeup photo please.

Being 100% wool I would advise to dry clean it or maybe use the dry cleaning product (sold in stores) in the dryer….similar to winter sweaters.

Should you decide to purchase this I am certain you will enjoy it for a very long time. I never put it on the floor as I used it to show my geometry classes when we studied Escher.
