I have a Classic Railroad Watch that Hamilton made it's Railroad Image on,the 940.

The serial number is 653431 and the Hamilton ledgers show this watch was Finished and sold on 8-1-1910 to one of their largest agents. J.W. Forsinger,Chicago, he bought 20 watches on that page that day. These later production 940's after serial number 525,00 were "fully marked", that is, the Barrel Bridge has all the info that earlier models did not and it makes for a stunning looking watch with all the Gold markings.

This watch needed quite a bit of work to bring back to service, I replaced the Mainspring  .cleaned and oiled it adjusted it to keep good time and replaced the missing crystal with a glass beveled one and cleaned and polished the case.

The dial is perfect without any problems with Arabic  Numerals and a track above them with Red 5 minute markers .It has a  Double Sunk dial .

The Case is by Philadelphia Watch Case Co. and is Gold Filled and marked  Guaranteed Twenty Years . It doesn't have any wear through and most of the detail is clear. It has some loss of detail on the back lower but you can still see everything clearly. It has a shield on the back without initials in it. The front bezel has a coin edge at the crystal and then a Fancy floral design around the edge to match the rear cover. I put on a new Bow.

 Low start Price of $40.

Look over the 19 pictures and ask any questions before bidding. Thanks
