Hello. Up for consideration is a Vintage Original circa 1940s Brooklyn Dodgers ("Dem Bums") "HOJO" Hobo/Bum Mascot Rubber Figure Squeeze Toy made by Rempel MFG INC. of Akron Ohio and designed by Fred G. Reinert.

Reinert animated a long list of famous cartoon characters including Tom & Jerry, Charlie Brown, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Winnie the Pooh. Still, his true calling was character creation, background painting, and "putting it all together" as producer/director. He produced and directed animated shorts for Disney, including Food Is Fun: A Nutrition Adventure (1980), Winnie the Pooh Discovers the Seasons (1981), and Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore (1983).

Looks all original showing signs of use and I don't see any broken, damaged or missing parts (I don't see any tears or rips in the rubber material).

Marked on back "Rempel MFG. INC. Akron Ohio USA Fred G. Reinert" (see photo 3).

Rubber material is quite hard/firm (not soft or pliable) and he doesn't stand up on his own.

Has vibrant/saturated/glossy colors with little paint/finish loss and wonderful design/detail that would display nicely.

Stands about 6 1/2 inches tall.

Comes from my late father's Sports Memorabilia collection of over 50 years.

Please look at ALL PHOTOS carefully as I've tried to show the wonderful condition of this item that comes from a smoke free, pet free and climate controlled environment.

Payment is due within three (3) days after the end of the auction and I only ship to the United States via USPS Ground Advantage (Tracking Included), Priority Mail and FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.

I also offer combined shipping and Free Local Pick Up. Please wait for me to send a combined shipping invoice
