Villeroy & Boch Cats Sport Playing Tennis Ceramic Figurine By R. Benedikt

Up for bid and for your consideration is a Villeroy & Boch "Cats Sport" playing tennis ceramic figurine designed by R. Benedikt.

This would be great for the tennis buff or for any cat collection!

The details:

This figurine measures approximately 5-1/2 inches tall to the tail of the bird on her hat, about 6-5/8 inches wide at the base, and just under 4 inches deep, also at the base. These measurements do not include the tennis rackets.

These cute cats take the form of tennis players. He is wearing a blue shirt and white pants his accessories include a colorful bow tie and, on his sleeve, a green lizard and a fish on his back. She is wearing a floral dress with a fish and a rose as accents all topped off by a duck hat!

They are standing on an orange rectangular base, and both are holding orange, removeable tennis rackets.

They are in nice condition! I see no chips or cracks. The colors are strong and bright!

The bottom is marked: "Villeroy & Boch (C) 1748 R. Benedikt" with the logo above it. And there is also a note attached to it sayting it was given as a token of friendship between couples. I have left it there, I guess, as part of the history of the piece. You are free to remove it!

This would be great for the tennis buff or for any cat collection! Maybe you know someone who would enjoy this as a gift? Why not bid now?!
