I played on this Haynes Amadeus for several years. It’s a great flute, but I’m upgrading to a different flute and no longer need this one.
This flute is equivalent to an Amadeus 780, but with a D# roller, which Haynes no longer offers on their Amadeus flutes.
The D# roller helps go from Eb to low C/C#/B.
The split E mechanism helps TREMENDOUSLY for stabilizing High E and also helps the tone of high E, as you can hear in my excerpt from Beeftink’s Flamenco flute solo.
The C# trill key IS THE MOST IMPORTANT KEY ON THE FLUTE. There are 12 notes to work with in Western music. C# in both octaves is SO SHARP on the flute. C# is 1 1 out of only 12 notes and is a TERRIBLE note on flute.
THE C# TRILL KEY ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY C# IN TUNE! I demonstrate this is in the second half of my video.
THE C# TRILL KEY ALSO ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY HIGH G# EFFORTLESSLY! It’s almost like a high G# facilitator, that’s how much easier it is. I also demonstrate this in the last part of my video.
I am very passionate about this because most flutists treat the C# trill key as a key just for trills, when in reality it helps with these difficult notes on the flute!
