I have for sale a good quality students bamboo shakuhachi flute.

Only flutes that have good tones and play well are sold. Made in Australia from Aurea running bamboo. Once heat treated Aurea bamboo almost never cracks and is not attacked by the dreaded bamboo borer. It has great tonal qualities and a classic beautiful bamboo appearance.

You can be sure your shakuhachi will be accurately tuned, the notes being  D, F , G , A, C , D, as you move up the flute.

All flutes play all notes clearly in two octaves.

Tuned in the key of D ( minor pentatonic scale). Known as 1.8 in shakuhachi circles ... the most common shakuhachi key and the usual one for beginners to learn on.

After many years of making and playing shakuhachi and other bamboo flutes, I now offer some for sale on Ebay

These flutes are made with love, care and passion in my solar - powered  home-based workshop in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in Qld, Australia.

These are great flutes for anyone wishing to explore the fascinating and mysterious world of the shakuhachi flute without having to buy an expensive flute.

I have a couple of shakuhachi made from this bamboo that would be close to 20 years old and still play well and sound beautiful.

All flutes come with a money back guarantee  ( If you are not happy with your flute for whatever reason your money will be refunded ).

A  fingering chart and basic care and playing instructions are provided with each flute.

 "  Hi Noel (Windelf).
I just received my shakuhachi today. It came well packaged and in excellent condition.
I immediately tried it out and I am very pleased by the rich, fluid tones it makes.
I must admit I was a bit worried about buying a shakuhachi from you at first because of the much cheaper price than most other sellers, but my fears have been put to shame as the quality far exceeds the price.
Thanks for a wonderful instrument, I have wanted one for a very long time".
