A pair of excellent pair of Modernist kite shaped dangle sterling silver and abalone earrings from Mexico. These big and bold earrings date from the late 1960s and came from the collection of a long time collector of Mexico jewelry. The kite shaped dangles are made of 5 panels each graduated in size and inlaid with fabulous lustrous abalone shell in shades of blue, green, purples, and lavender. The panels are connected by two rings which creates a dramatic shimmering effect when the dangle sways in a fluid way. The dangle is attached via a fixed ring on a sterling silver screw back earring fixture. (Note: these earrings could easily be converted to ear wires or post backs for pierced ears). Hallmark on the reverse with the studio hallmark for "TFV" and "Mexico 925 sterling" for origin and silver metal fineness content. Please see photos.
