Brand new, in shrink wrap, is a copy of the rare Limited Edition (of only 1500) Box set pressing of The Magnetic Fields' Quickies Album, released as 5 x 7" vinyl 45s. In addition to the scarcity that such a small pressing creates, Nonesuch contacted those on their mailing list, announcing the release, and that Stephin Merritt would be signing the insert for all pre-orders, but only for those who pre-ordered directly from Nonesuch (and paid that premium vs. a discount online retailer). Upon the release of the album, I forget why, this was in the heart of C19... maybe Stephin, or someone integral to those inserts being signed, or production delays in the supply chain would have delayed the album, by a long time... I don't recal why, just that the box set would arrive, and ASAP, those who preordered, would recieve the signed insert promised. So, this 7" Ltd. Edition of 1500 is still still factory sealed, but, as seen in the pictures, the preorder only signed insert, which is printed on some sort of cardstock, is not sealed inside, which is kind of nice, IMO.
