The cap, ranging from 6-12 cm in diameter, is thick and meaty, starting as ovoid and elongating to a flat-prostrate shape, often with a prominent brown tubercle at the center. Its surface appears whitish or creamy, with a matte texture. The central area is brown and smooth, while the rest of the surface is covered in thin scales left from the ruptured skin. The cap's edge is adorned with white flaky fibers.

The cap's flesh is white, emitting a pleasant aroma and featuring a slightly tart taste, remaining unchanged upon cutting. Longitudinal fibers characterize the stem, which stands 6-12 cm tall and measures 0.6-1.2 cm in thickness. The stem is cylindrical, hollow, with a subtle tuberous thickening at the base and occasionally curved. Its surface is smooth and can be white, yellowish, or brownish below the ring, turning slightly brown upon touch.

The gills are numerous, displaying smooth edges and a free attachment. They have a thin, cartilaginous collarium, easily detachable from the cap, with the presence of lamellulae. Their color ranges from white to cream in young mushrooms, transitioning to brownish in older specimens.

Notably, there are no remnants of the veil: the ring is wide, white, smooth, and movable; the volva is absent.

The spore powder appears white, characteristic of this species.
