This bracelet is called a gate bracelet style and it has been made from solid 9ct yellow gold. It is a classic well know style in the jewellery industry. This was the period when they began to be popular. The reason the name 'Gate' was given to the bracelet was due to the style of the links in the way that they interlock in barred panels. The panels were meant to represent the fences and gates of the English castles and country estates.
