One Antique Vintage Banjo "Eagle" Bracket Shoe and hook for Luthier Parts, Banjo Repair

This used bare brass banjo "Eagle" bracket came off of 19th century banjo and shows some wear   The matching brass nut fits the integral threaded post that holds it on the banjo rim. .  This bracket would work well for someone who is restoring an early banjo to original condition.  This design of brackets first appeared on banjos shortly after the American Civil War and continued to be available as an after-market accessory in musical merchandise catalogs even into the 20th century,  As far as I know there are no reproductions of bare brass brackets currently available which have threaded posts like this brackets has, making it more valuable and harder to source.  please email with any questions you may have
