Here is a 1940s WFL Zephr 8 lug 7 X 14 snare drum. I have owned this drum for 30+ years and being offered as found. From what I can determine, all the parts are original. The silver center paint is not original. The black paint does appear to be original. This would be a great drum for restoration and preservation. Time to move this vintage snare to a new home.

The hoops are NOS (nickel over steel), the lugs are NOS. The bearing edges are origin and just fine. The shell is NOT out of round. The is 3 ply with rerings. There are not extra holes.

I have seen this strainer on ebay with a starting bid or BIN of $300 plus shipping.
