This is an unusual, rare map that shows the Indian subcontinent form Beloutchistan (Pakistan) in the west to the tip of the Malay Peninsula in the southeast and including Cochin China (Vietnam).  Drawn by C.V. Monin, it was published by Johnson's Universal Cyclopedia in 1837 and is hand colored.  It is very detailed, naming all the then existing cities and towns, islands, river, lakes, and mountain ranges.  This is a very historic map that is truly worthy of study.

It measures 12 3/4 inches width and 10 1/2 inches in height.  Brighter than the photograph showed.  Minor tears.
