This is the first printing, first edition of the novelization of Halloween by Curtis Richards (actually Richard Curtis). Copyright page shows this is the first printing (from October 1979), it features the artwork of the full-body ghost with jack-o'-lantern head (as compared to later art of the close-up of the jack-o'-lantern mask), and a cover price of $2.25. Very scarce in the true first!
