Antique 1920 HALLOMAX BRAND PAYMENT RECORDER produced in U.S.A., Pat. June 8 1920.  The metal payment recorder holds paper on an interior roll that changes when the dials at the top of the small hand held piece are turned.  There are notes made in pencil by the owner a century ago.  The decorated side has a skyscraper view next to a body of water with a world symbol engraved in the metal surface.  It was small enough to put in a pocket and carry around for on the spot transactions.  The dials can be turned.  The piece measures 2 1/2" by 1 5/8" wide by 3/8" thick.  There are no paper refills but the new owner could make some I am sure. Please see all photos.  Interesting piece of long ago commerce.
