Large etching, 76x 54 cms with wide margins. it represents some architectural elements of the Pantheon.Piranesi indicates that the second order doesn´t exist at that time as it was removed in medieval times.
The Pantheon is the only roman building that has remained in good shape since classical antiquity. Francesco Piranesi (1758-1810) drew and published the work on the Pantheon as his first independent work after his father´s death Giovanni Baptista Piranesi.
