I had pleasure of working on a major Titanic project.  This plaque was given to me by a gentleman who made a 1:50 titanic model for the project.

I underestand these were the types of plaque used on the lifeboats.  SS being an abbreviation of Steam Ship - less glamorous than the main RMS vessel.

I believe the plaque is brass, as they were in the lifeboats. It was cast by the model maker, so I'd be reassured by its homage credentials, size, font etc.

Would make a unique gift for the enthusiast.
