THESE ARE WINE GLASSES AND NOT WATER GOBLETS

Offered here are 6 EAPG 19th century clear flint glass Bellflower Vine pattern stemmed red wine glasses. Each glass is approximately 5 3/8” high with a top rim diameter of 2 1/2” and a foot diameter of 2 3/4”. The bowl holds 1/2 cup of red wine. One of my pictures show the red wine glass between a water goblet and a sherry/ cordial glass. The feet are plain unadorned clear glass. The bowls have the vertical ridges with the bellflower vine pattern going around the bowls near the top. The glasses are clear flint glass( not a slight pinkish tinge in some of the pictures) with a hefty weight feel and a lovely bell ring when struck. They were probably made pre Civil War, possibly in Stanwich, Massachusetts.

Each glass is in lovely antique condition without chips or cracks. The ridges and the bellflower vines are sharply and clearly etched.

All in all this is a fine set of six glasses.
