This Sampson era (sn 2383) Matchless A B Y adds incredible functionality to a multi-amp set-up. Four independent tube-driven gain stages can be sent to drive two outputs at a time on either the A or B side, additionally Y functionality will drive four amps at once. More than just a switch, this box will add front end gain to drive clean/low gain amps, or add gain to beef up tone at lower volume settings. This is a perfect tool for the guitarist running multiple amplifiers.
