By Danish designer Marianne Isager, this is a special edition RED shawl kit that the Isager store in Santa Fe, NM put together for me. Because they did not have the accent colors in 12g skeins, I had to buy full 50 gram skeins to complete the kit. YOU WILL HAVE YARN LEFT OVER!

The TOKYO SHAWL KIT includes original printed pattern, Isager Alpaca 1 and Isager Spinni yarns to make the shawl. Shawl measures 26" x 68" after blocking. Kit includes:

200 grams of Isager Alpaca 1 in Color 21x3 balls (red) and Color 4s x1 ball (grey)
50 grams each Isager Spinni in colors 17s (deep magenta), 19s (deep rose), 28 (tart cherry), 28s (tomato) and 32 (deep red).
50 gram accent skeins of Isager Spinni in colors 15s (fern), 26 (teal), 54 (midnight) and 101(ocean).

Alpaca 1 is a soft, 100% alpaca yarn with beautiful drape. The plied strand gives wonderful stitch definition to cables, lace & textured patterns. Ideal for shawls & wraps, the yarn is lightweight, yet substantial enough to take away the chill of a cool evening. The yarn comes in a modern palette of solids & heathers with several natural undyed heathers. Alpaca 1 is also lovely held double or holding with another yarn such as a silk mohair.

Spinni is one of the original foundation yarns of Isager. The single-ply, lace weight yarn is spun & dyed at Skive Garn in Denmark from 100% wool.

The yarn is held double throughout, so gauge is fingering. Because of the stacked increases and decreases, use of markers is highly recommended.
