This really nice HO gauge loco by Roco is 43310 a DR BR 17 steam locomotive in black & red livery with running number 17 1166.

All express train locomotives with a 2'C wheel arrangement were combined in the S 10 class on the Prussian State Railways . There were four types, which were designated S 10, S 10 1 (types 1911 and 1914) and S 10 2 .

Various disadvantages of the S 10 1 type 1911, e.g. B. the poor accessibility of the internal engine and the long steam paths between high and low pressure cylinders, prompted the Prussian State Railways to have the design revised. Despite the significant differences, the 1914 design was also designated S 10 1 . These locomotives were the most powerful express train locomotives in Prussia and remained so, since the Prussian State Railways did not procure any Pacific -type locomotives.

The Deutsche Reichsbahn took over 77 locomotives as series 17.11-12 with the numbers 17 1124-1144 and 1154-1209.

At the Deutsche Reichsbahn , two locomotives of type 1914 were converted to the Wendler pulverized coal firing system in the 1950s . the last machine was retired in 1964. Unlike the 1911 type, none of the 1914 type locomotives have survived.

The loco is in very good condition as you can see in the pictures, it is tested and runs with working lights, a complete external visual inspection has shown the overall condition is very good. It comes complete with its box. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition.

Overall this is a really nice scale locomotive and would look fantastic on a layout.

Do please have a look at my other listings, I typically have various HO and OO locos on offer as well as an extensive range of imported N gauge locos and other items.

Note: I do recommend all locos are cleaned & serviced, as they have some age to them even if the quality looks at the highest level (fairly standard advice for all locos!).
