From my personal collection of private recordings, you are bidding on audio CD’s of a live opera recording starring the great Spanish soprano, MONTSERRAT CABALLE and the great Spanish tenor BERNABE MARTI. Caballe was at her vocal peak in 1967, and she had recently made important debuts around the world, including at the Met. And of course she was a favorite in Philadelphia, where she sang many of her greatest roles. Marti was a leading tenor who sang all across the Americas and Europe as a frequent partner with his wife, Montserrat Caballe. Here they are in the 1967 PHILADELPHIA MADAMA BUTTERFLY, recorded in good, clear, non-broadcast sound. Caballe and Marti are each in great voice, and are joined by a strong supporting cast. The recording is complete on 2 Cd’s, has complete tracking, is on-pitch, and comes in a double jewel box (overseas packages will be sent without the jewel box).
