From my personal collection of private recordings, you are bidding on audio CDs of a live opera recording starring the Great American opera stars LEONA MITCHELL and NEIL SHICOFF. Mitchell was already an established leading soprano in 1979, singing all across the US in a variety of lyric and spinto roles. Shicoff was a leading Met tenor, starring there and all across the US in French and Italian lyric roles. Here they are in the 1979 CHICAGO LA BOHEME, recorded in very good, stereo broadcast sound and including the announcements. These two are in the prime of youth and it’s a joy to hear such free and impassioned singing. And they are joined by a strong supporting cast. The recording is complete on 2 CDs, has complete tracking, is on-pitch and comes in a double jewel box (overseas packages will be sent without the jewel box).
