I have no idea if it works - I don't have a computer I can hook up to it (it uses one of those huge serial connectors from back in the day.)  I can confirm when powered on the power light comes on and the head moves and spins.  Seems as far as that goes it works.  The rest of it I'm not sure.

Great piece of vintage computing sold as a collectible, or maybe a project for someone who has a computer that they can work with this.

These rarely come up for sale, less rarely with the original box and foam.
