MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF BURMESE YUN TECHNIQUE LACQUERWARE

BURMESE WRITING ON TOP AND BOTTOM RIM

Excellent vintage condition- this was used as a decorative arts/display platter and has no damage or signs of wear other than 2 very faint lines in the lacquer- normal for age and is NOT flaking or peeling- feels smooth and stable- see last 2 pics. No nicks chips cracks or scratches. No fading or dullness to lacquer, lovely even gloss. See pics and use zoom.

This piece was made during the Mandalay period, which lasted from 1853-1948. This is a Museum Quality piece, genuine mid-late 19th century, most likely a Victorian-era export. This piece was NOT made in the 1900s.

Has original paper label which contains a catalogue number, the word Burma, and the word Mandalay, as proof of provenance. An amazing piece of Art.

The artwork is meticulous, very detailed, tiny, and masterful.

A fabulous plate for display in any setting, terrific for a collector. A very special UNIQUE piece. Would make a marvelous gift.

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts:

I strive to give you the best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and enthusiast. I only list items that I think are unique and of good quality. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough! Please ask any questions before bidding, I will happily respond.

Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and "funky vintage-ness". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer.

I will promptly ship your item within 1 business day and post great positive feedback for you once payment is received.

Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.

I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items for you.
