ABOUT THE BOOK:
The Lairds were horse crazy, every one of them. Silver Heels was their pony, a natural jumper
with a bit of Welsh in him. There was no
keeping him in his pasture, and when the hounds gave tongue, Silver thought it
was his signal to join the hunt.
This is a real out-door book, with the fun of riding, of a
Pony Club and of a Drag Hunt. It is full
of the good, straight horse talk and fine pictures of horses that Paul Brown’s readers
have come to expect and love. At the end
of the story Silver Heels shows what he can do.
