This is a very rare attic-find that has been untouched for decades.

You'll notice from the single rear coil design that this is the original 1983 Dog Fighter 834B design with an exposed alloy roll bar, yellow wheels and black body pan.

It includes many original parts and seems to have come directly from Japan.  Here's what's included:
  1. YZ-834B frame in great condition for its age.
  2. Yokomo 05R Stock 'Turbo Power' motor - it works!
  3. Sanwa SRC-2322RS am receiver
  4. x2 Sanwa servo SM-635
  5. Original Dunlop 80-40-42 wheels
  6. Sanwa DASH AM27 controller
  7. Original Yokomo 7.2v battery (doesn't hold charge anymore)
  8. Yokomo YZ-720A Constant Current Autopeak Turbo charger
  9. SuperExpress Charger 30 (7.2v)
  10. Unknown Japanese charger
  11. Vintage container filled with spare bits like gears, fuses and more
  12. Body cover and rear wing (crudely painted, but intact)
Notes from testing:
  • The original battery won't hold a charge, but the system was tested with a newer 7.2v battery (not included).
  • Using the throttle servo horn the motor was found to spin the wheels, but struggled to move the car under its own weight.
  • There are a few signs of aging rubber on the tires
  • The rear shock sags and likely needs oil
  • Chargers were all found to light up and appear to work normally
  • The Sanwa controller includes 8 new AA batteries.  There seems to have been some repairs made to the controller's battery holder, with evidence of super-glue and tinfoil to reach the contacts.
  • The controller turns the front wheels, but would not activate the throttle.  Unclear why, as both components seem to work separately.
