Title: Alice In Wonderland

Label: Disneyland WDL 4015

Release Date: 1957

Artists: Camarata Orchestra & Chorus and Darlene Gillespie

Vinyl Visual Condition: Excellent. No bands.

Audio: Excellent to Near Mint. (I listen to every record I list.) This sounds beautiful!

Album Cover: Front looks excellent. The seams are intact. There is no tape anywhere on the album cover. The back cover has foxed a bit with age as have the seams but there are no tears. (Please see

scans.)

The size of the album jackets do not allow the records encased in sleeves to be easily inserted and removed as they can easily split the seams. Therefore, I store the WDL vinyl records in plastic sleeves which are then encased in blank cardboard sleeves and filed on my shelves in plastic cover bags with the original album covers. A photo shows my storage technique and how the album will be posted.

The WDL series on Disneyland was created for and marketed to adults. The soundtracks were expanded to include background music and stunning art work. However, the records did not sell well so the series was dropped in favor of selling the albums for children with new cover art and in most cases. Less music. And cheaper!

Because the soundtrack songs for Alice in Wonderland were only partially recorded, a new recording was created by Camarata who produced the WDL albums. Mouseketeer Darlene Gillespie provided the singing for Alice. Lovely voice!

The vinyl received less pressings than the others in the WDL series and even less album jackets were printed than the other records.

Please compare with other copies of this version of Alice in Wonderland on the internet. I have only seen two here: one that is listed for $1200 and another for $1000, each with issues.
