This is being sold as is for parts. It does work, the battery is not as good as it use to be. It has an issue with the connector, so it can be hard to get it to charge. As with any of the other older style kindles with buttons of any sort, you can not access the Amazon store thru the kindle, but you can add purchases to the kindle that you gave made.
