Boratinka (boratynchik) is the name of the copper solids (shillings, shelyags) of the Commonwealth, minted in 1649-1668 at the mints of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

This is a credit coin of the Commonwealth, the real value of which was only about 15% of the face value. Its release was due to the difficult situation in which the country found itself during the war with Sweden and Russia, and the urgent need to pay off the mercenary troops.
