Our tote bags are constructed with used flour sack from the Philippines with reversible patchwork pattern. The idea came about during a much-needed vacation in 2023 with two of my sisters after I retired as a Registered Nurse in California. Needing a diversion from retirement, I created the tote with the flour sack and sewed the patchworks of combined new fabrics, thrifted remnants, upcycled pillowcases, and curtains. The flour sack became the primary design then added the patchwork. Each tote has unique pattern and sizes may differ slightly as they are handmade. The flour sacks may have faded colors, slight stains, and threadbare as they are used. Let's reuse and recycle to decrease the materials being dumped in the landfill reducing carbon footprints.
