Andy Warhol's 1987 Memorial Mass Card PLUS Lunch Invitation Framed Firsts Mint.

I am a collector... well, I was.

As a person who could not quite generate enough dough to buy one of Andy's originals, I sure did collect several of the finest examples of ephemera that have ever been made available over the last 25 years. Best of all were friendships I was able to collect like mine with Superstar, Holly Woodlawn. Our telephone chats were the best... even though I can still hear her say, "Why do you always want to talk about Andy‽ He was sooooo booooring."

You will not find a more pristine copy of either of these cards. These are genuine, original, first printing card documents from a shockingly sad time in 1987. While the Memorial Mass card is very rare and desirable by collectors, there were far fewer copies of the invitation to the private luncheon. To have both cards is a truly rare thing indeed!

These have been framed with no expense spared. They are "floated" in a two-sided display that is easily modifiable to display either side of either card facing outward. The glass/glazing on the face of this display is Tru-Vue UV-rated museum glass. The cards are "mounted" with acid-free corners which allows the card stock to properly "breathe". The mat-board is also certified as acid-free. The frame molding is a rather costly, custom Italian number that you can find through high-end picture framing services.

I have had this display in my collection since 2000 (24 years!) and I can provide a statement to help establish provenance from 2000 until I safely send it to your collection. Just let me know about that.

Measurements are taken by hand and thereby could be off by a forgivable couple of millimeters or fractions of an inch. We aim to be as close as possible.

As a result of our high standards for inspecting items and accurately and fully describing them, RETURNS are only granted under special circumstances. READ the whole description and look at all of the photographs. We will not allow returns for reasons like "wrong size." The sizes are communicated in descriptions and photographs. Buying the wrong size from this little shop would thereby be your own fault.

We are skilled and experienced at packing. We generally use USPS Priority and added insurance is purchased for packages that merit the investment. We do not pad the price with exaggerated shipping fees. If you somehow overpay, we'll make it up to you.
